The fact that Mr. Tan is continuing his work to advance, improve, and make more efficient the electronic element industry at various levels and stages are ways that the United States will benefit from his continued stay.

Mr. Tan’s research accomplishments in the electronic element industry have greatly advanced his field.  According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, in 2016, the Chinese electronic component manufacturing industry's total assets reached 1,290.719 billion Yuan; the sales revenue was 1,736.232 billion Yuan; and the total profit was 110.488 billion Yuan. In 2016, the Chinese electronic device manufacturing industry's total assets reached 1,927.235 billion Yuan, sales revenue stood at 1,736.122 billion Yuan, total profit was 99.267 billion Yuan. China is the world's biggest electronic information product manufacturer, as in the production of the Chinese electronics industry accounted for 81% of the global output in 2014. From 2014 to 2025, chips consumed by Chinese complete machine manufacturers will be on the increase year by year and are expected to exceed over half of the chips consumed globally by 2025. All these speak volumes for the important position of China in global electronic information product manufacturing and the existence of a huge market of semiconductors in China. Statistics showed that China's integrated circuit imports reached $227 billion in 2016, surpassing $200 billion for four consecutive years, as the highest-valued import commodity. Thus, China is a large market that the US can enter as well as benefit from. Mr. Tan is at the forefront of such work and his past accomplishments have already had a tremendous impact in his field, impressing experts around the world.  By continuing his work, Mr. Tan’s future stay will unmistakably benefit the U.S.
